Allen is filmmaker based out of Brooklyn, NY.

Over the course of his career, he has built a consistent track record in creating critically acclaimed and award-winning Documentaries, TV Series and Commercial Projects.

He is the co-creator of the award-winning documentary series Gaycation with Elliot Page,  worked across the first three seasons of the Emmy winning HBO show VICE and was part of the team responsible for developing and producing a new slate of original programming for the launch of VICELAND in 2016 under the direction of Spike Jonze.

Allen worked as the Head of Production at VFILES where he directed and produced branded campaigns for Diesel, Sprite, Adidas and Converse. Prior to that, Allen worked on the Development team at Refinery29 helping to create a new slate of programming and TV pilots.

Over the course of his career, Allen has helped produce and direct over 50+ mid to long range documentaries for online and a few viral sensations. He shot and produced the one and only music video for Macaulay’s Culkin’s short-lived cover band, The Pizza UndergroundHe received a 2014 Webby nomination for Child Workers of the World Unite , a 20-minute documentary on the labor movement in Bolivia.  Take it Or Leave it is an online series he directed where legendary photographer Bruce Gilden reviews portfolios submitted online that StreetShootr.com called, refreshing and entertaining.  His documentary Triple Hate, was described by Mic.com as, …a portal inside the secretive world of the KKK and an exploration of racial politics that still haunt us all,”  and has over 13 million views online. Allen once made a documentary about Cinema, Sex and Quicksand and another about the Black Plague in Madagascar.
